Two-time FIFA Under 17 World Cup champions, the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria, have been drawn against CONCACAF champions, Mexico, Sweden and Iraq in Group F of the Cadets competition in the United Arab Emirates.
The Garba Manu-tutored team will open their campaign against Mexico at the Al Ain stadium on October 19.
Nigeria and Brazil, the most successful nations in the tournament’s history, are once again present at the 2013 edition, ensuring a spectacular tournament for the fans.
Nigeria, as aforementioned, were drawn into Group F, with Brazil seeking to lay the foundations for their fourth triumph at this level in Group A against the hosts.
Meanwhile, the Golden Eaglets Coach, Manu Garba says he is excited with the draws.
In Group A, United Arab Emirates, Honduras, Brazil and Slovakia will do battle in Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah) while Group B comprises of Uruguay, New Zealand, Côte d’Ivoire and Italy in Ras Al Khaimah, Abu Dhabi.
In Group C, Croatia, Morocco, Panama and Uzbekistan will slug it out in Fujairah, Sharjah while Tunisia, Venezuela, Russia, Japan will vie for honours in Group D as Canada, Austria, Iran and Argentina were drawn in Group D.
