Former Nigerian international, Tajudeen Disu, has backed the candidacy of Chief Segun Odegbami for the FIFA presidential race.
Disu believes Odegbami possesses the qualities to steer the affairs of the world football governing body.
His words: “Apart from paying his dues and being a role model for most footballers globally, Odegbami is a brainy with lots of ideas to take the game to the next level.
“I think he deserves a look in as the time is here for an African to administer world football. I have no doubt in mind that Odegbami is a good candidate and he is will not fail us, but we must give him our support.”
Speaking further, the former Flying Eagles defensive midfielder pleaded with the Nigeria Football Federation to withdraw the stringent on conditions placed on prospective candidates running for the FIFA plum job.
