Google searches last week saw the internet filled with excitement over short-listed names by the Federal Civil Service Commission.
Google’s Spokesman, Taiwo Kola-Ogunlade, made the announcement in Lagos on Friday.
He said that the search, which ended on March 23, also featured TTT’s eviction and N1 million rejection as well as the demise of Allwell Orji.
Kola-Ogunlade said: “The short-listed names of applicants for the Federal Civil Service had been released.
“The commission has released the lists of short-listed candidates according to states for applications into the federal ministries.
“The lists apply to applications received by Federal Civil Service Commission submitted during the 2016 recruitment.
“The list was released online and the successful candidates would have been scheduled for their interviews.”
The Google manager said the former BB Naija housemate, Thin Tall Tony, forfeited a cash compensation of N1 million before he was evicted from the Big Brother Naija House on March 19.
He said that in a dairy session with Biggie, Tony was offered the money to quit the house but he turned it down, later he got the lowest vote and was evicted.
Kola-Ogunlade noted that Dr. Allwell Orji’s gory incident also got people’s attention online.
He said: “It is claimed that Orji had previously attempted suicide in the past but this time it was a sad experience.
“The medical doctor ended his life by jumping off the Third Mainland Bridge. Later in the week, reports surfaced that the body of the doctor has been found.”
Kola-Ogunlade said that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board had opened its official website to prospective candidates of the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination to commence their registration.
According to him, the examination body, which introduced some new changes in the registration process, also released a set of instructions for prospective candidates.
Kola-Ogunlade said that the bomb scare at the Plateau State National Youth Service Corps Orientation Camp sent people searching online.
He said: “NYSC has denied stories making the rounds that there was a bomb scare in Jos, Plateau State.
“There have been speculations on social media over the past few days that a suspect was arrested with explosives, near Zang Commercial College in Bukuru, Jos.”
The spokesman also brought up the unending controversy of Senator Dino Melaye, saying: “Harvard denies Melaye.”
Kola-Ogunlade said: “Harvard University in Boston, United States, has refuted a claim by Senator Dino Melaye that he was at any time educated at the Ivy League school.
“The registrar’s office immediately dismissed the claim as soon as an official cross-checked it.”
Kola-Ogunlade said further that in the entertainment industry, the musician with the big cassava, Tekno Miles, was out again with another hot tune.
According to him, the Made Men Music Group Cassava manufacturer returns with a double bang, dropping another fire tune in “Yawa”, accompanied with crisp visuals.
He said that this was another strong sounding tune that was produced by Masterkraft.
