The Governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose, on Tuesday paid a surprised visit to the President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, in his office at the National Assembly in Abuja.
Fayose, during the visit to sympathise with Saraki on the invasion of his house by operatives of the Department of State Services, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and the Nigeria Police, described President Muhammadu Buhari as a beast.
Fayose, who was sighted at the Senate Wing of the National Assembly, said those who think he will run away after his tenure in office are idiots.
He condemned the invasion of the residences of Saraki and the Deputy President of the Senate, Dr. Ike Ekweremadu, by security operatives, adding that defection of some lawmakers in National Assembly on tuesday was of interest to the nation.
According to him: “They behave like defeated souls who will do anything to be in power.
“I want the senators not to be intimidated to ensure that this country is free from the shackles of oppression.
“Their defection is nationalist.”
