The Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has approved the removal of the chairmen and members of the state House of Assembly Service Commission and the state Local Government Service Commission.
The governor’s action, which was contained in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Olayinka Oyebode, was sequel to the resolution of the House of Assembly removing the chairmen and members of the two commissions during its plenary sitting on Tuesday.
The state House of Assembly had cited Section 4 (1 and 2) of the law establishing the House of Assembly Service Commission and Other Matters as well as the law establishing the Local government Service Commission for the removal.
The re-composition of the two commissions would be announced later.
