A former governorship candidate of the Alliance for Democracy in 2014 in Ekiti State, Oluseyi Osekita, has defected from the party.
The ex-governorship candidate announced his resignation from the party on Thursday.
Osekita said he and his supporters were leaving the party for the All Progressives Congress because of “a not too inspiring leadership” and disclosed their resolved to join the APC’s governorship candidate for the July 14, 2018 election in the state, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, in the struggle to liberate the state.
Osekita said he was motivated by the leadership quality of Fayemi, whom he contested against in 2014.
He said: “Fayemi is the best for Ekiti.
“He did well in the office and gave a free hand to his appointees.
