It was a show of shame on Sunday in Akure after fans attacked match officials during a Week 36 Nigeria Premier Football League game involving home team, Sunshine Stars, and Lobi Stars.
The match was stopped with 10 minutes left on the clock when the fans invaded the pitch to beat up match officials as well as the Team Manager of Sunshine Stars, A. Adeleke.
An official of Lobi Stars was also attacked and later rushed to the hospital.
Lobi opened scoring after six minutes through Abdulrahman Bashir, but the home fans became unruly when they felt Sunshine ought to have been awarded two penalties in the course of the game.
After topping the league table for several weeks, Sunshine Stars title challenge has slipped in recent weeks.
