A former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has pleaded with Pastor Kris Okotie of the Household of God to stop his attack on Pastor T. B. Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations.
Fani-Kayode, the spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Organization for the 2015 election, made his position known on Saturday on his Twitter handle.
Fani-Kayode’s position was sequel to the attack by Okotie on Joshua who told worshippers on Sunday that he was planning to relocate to Israel.
But the Nigerian government pleaded with Joshua not to relocate.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said: “Pastor Joshua is an important person, he must bear with us. This is his country.”
Reacting to the development, Pastor Okotie said Pastor Joshua was an impostor.
He said: “He is controlled by a malevolent misanthropic spirit.
“His hypocritical jeremiad should be ignored. He is just another frustrated shaman seeking public sympathy.”
But Fani-Kayode said on Saturday on his Twitter handle that this is not the time for the men of God to bicker.
Rather, he said it is time to united.
He tweeted: “Someone please tell Kris Okotie to stop attacking TB Joshua.
“We need unity in the Church and not division.
“Our clerics MUST come together as one.”
