The family members of Chief Titilola Olukemi Nelson, the Yeyesewa of Lagos, immediate past South West Zonal Woman Leader of the All Progressives Congress and Member of the Lagos State Governance Advisory Council, have released the details of her burial programme.
The detailed programme was released by the family of the politician who died on July 17, 2022 at the age of 66.
A statement from Nelson’s family on Monday revealed that an evening of songs and tributes would be held in her honour on August 23, 2022 at The Haven, Adekunle Fajuyi Way, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos as well as a Christian wake keep service on August 24, 2022 at 4pm at the same venue.
A funeral service for Yeyesewa Nelson, who was also a former Commissioner for Women Affairs, Poverty Alleviation and Job Creation in Lagos State, will also hold on August 25, 2022 at the Archbishop Vining Memorial Church Cathedral, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos at 9am.
A private interment will follow immediately after the funeral service.
Chief Nelson will be fondly remembered as a devoted Christian, who was committed to her family, passionate about women by empowerment, grassroots mobilisation and nation building.
