The family of the late Iyalode of Gbaguraland in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Iyalode Adunni Bankole, has picked January 13 and 14, 2015 for the burial of the late socialite and step mother of Dimeji Bankole, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives.
The Eagle Online learnt that that Toyin, the first daughter of the deceased, is on top of the burial arrangement, with sole aim of giving her mother a befitting burial.
Further checks confirmed that the remains of Bankole will be laid to rest at a Lagos-based popular cemetery as against earlier information that she would be buried at her Ikorodu, Lagos mansion.
Eminent socialites, politicians and notable musicians are expected to attend the final burial of the late wife of the popular Ogun State politician, Chief Alani Bankole Bankole, who died last Saturday on her daughters’ wedding day.
She reportedly gave up the ghost at her aged mother’s Maryland, Lagos residence after an unsuccessful battle with heart attack related ailment.
