The Aminu Maigari-led Executive Board of the Nigeria Football Federation has been dissolved.
The Congress of the NFF at its extraordinary session on Saturday in Abuja, took the decision.
The meeting was conveyed by the Chairman of Chairmen of Nigeria Football Federations, Effiong Johnson.
Briefing newsmen, the Chairman of the communique drafting committee, Obinna Ogba, said: “The Extraordinary Congress unanimously endorsed the dissolution of the Aminu Maigari-led NFF Executive Committee and immediate termination of the employment of all management staff.
“The Congress also endorsed the dissolution of the Boards of the Nigeria National League, Nigeria Women League and the Nigeria Nationwide League.
“The Vice Chairmen are to take over the running of the Leagues and report to the Acting General Secretary of NFF.
“Congress approved the appointment of Mr. Lawrence Katken as Acting Secretary General of the NFF, pending the appointment of a substantive General Secretary.
“Congress bemoaned the unfortunate incident of the international embarrassment caused the Nigeria nation at the 2014 FIFA World Cup, by failure of the Aminu Maigari-led NFF to fully and firmly resolve issues of finance with the Super Eagles ahead of the championship.
“Congress accused the Maigari administration of abuse of NFF Statues in its constitution of the NFF Electoral Committee, by altering the list of persons approved by the Congress at the 2013 General Assembly.”
A new eight-man NFF Electoral Committee and six-man NFF Appeals have been reconstituted to prepare for election into the Executive Board.
Present at the congress were delegates from the 36 states Football Associations and FCT, as well as representatives of stakeholders like the Nigerian Referees Association, the Nigerian Coaches Association and Players’ Union.
It will be recalled that the stage was set for the dissolution of the Board on Wednesday when Justice L.P. Lot of a High Court sitting in Jos, Plateau State granted an order of interlocutory injunction restraining Maigari and his Executive from running Nigeria’s football pending the determination of the Motion on Notice.

The NFF Board is usually headed by the Federation’s president.
Aminu Maigari, who was ordered to stop parading himself as the president of the association by a High Court in Jos, Plateau State, led the Board until the court order on Wednesday.
At an Extraordinary Congress on Saturday, the Board was declared dissolved.
World’s football governing body, FIFA, has threatened to sanction Nigeria if the imbroglio in the NFF is not resolved by Tuesday.
