Former Super Eagles forward, Jonathan Akpoborie, has called for the sack of the Super Eagles manager, Gernot Rohr.
The erstwhile VfL Wolfsburg of Germany striker made this call during a phone-in programme on Monday.
According to him, Rohr lacked the technical know how to lead the former African champions to glory.
Akpoborie said: “Even in his prime, Rohr was never a top grade coach.
“So, how do you give what you don’t have?
“You improve with friendly games, but we didn’t see any improvements in the last ones we played.
“Without further delay, Gernot Rohr deserves to be sacked now.”
Akpoborie was also saddened with the appointment of Joseph Yobo as Super Eagles coach, saying the former defender has zero experience in coaching.
“Unfortunately, he’s learning from the wrong person and the plan to appoint him as the substantive coach in the future may back fire,” he opined.
