More revelations are coming from arrested billionaire kidnap kingpin, Chukwumeme Onwuamadike, popularly known as Evans.
Evans, said to be Nigeria’s richest and wisest kidnapper, was arrested last week Saturday by the Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Team, led by Assistant Commissioner of Police Abba Kyari.
Evans, since his arrest, has made several revelations to his interrogators.
The latest is that he did not believe he would be caught by any law enforcement officer.
He said his belief was based on the efficacy of the charm prepared for him by his native doctor, a traditional ruler in Nnewi, Anambra State.
According to available information, Evans reportedly told the police that after his house in Igando area of Lagos State was uncovered and the charms therein taken away, he ran to the traditional ruler who also doubles as a native doctor.
The native doctor was said to have prepared some charms for him to make him untraceable.
Describing the traditional ruler as the backbone of his operation, Evans said he was assured that no policeman born of a woman would ever be able to catch or arrest him.
Evans told his interrogators: “The native doctor resides in Nnewi, Anambra State.
“He is a traditional ruler.
“After police busted our Igando hideout, he told me to have no fear.
“He said nothing would happen.
“He told me that nobody would be able to catch or arrest me.
“I believed him.
“I don’t know what went wrong.”
