Oghnekaro Etebo is out of action for four to five months with a torn quad muscle, Watford have confirmed.
The on-loan midfielder picked up the injury at the end of the 1-1 draw with Newcastle last weekend.
Tom Cleverley was forced out of the game after suffering a suspected concussion, but he has since returned to training and will be available for selection again come Saturday.
Goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann will also be in contention after shaking off his knee injury.
The rest of the squad is available, including Kiko Femenia, who was also substituted during the game with Newcastle.
After that match, Xisco Munoz said the full back was being eased back into matches after a lengthy spell out of the team.
