Man U vs Tottenham
Venue: Old Trafford
Kick off: 3:15pm
Manchester United and Tottenham enter this fixture after qualifying for the Europa League Round of 32 following their victories in the final group stage fixture of the European competition.
The Red Devils progressed following their 2-0 win over Zorya Luhansk in Ukraine.
Summer signing, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, scored his first goal against Zorya before Zlatan Ibrahimovic doubled the lead, courtesy of Paul Pogba’s assist.
The duo, along with the world-record signing are expected to start against the north London club.
Goalkeeper David de Gea, defender Antonio Valencia and midfielder Michael Carrick did not travel to Ukraine.
The trio could return to the starting lineup to face Tottenham.
Jose Mourinho has seen his side struggle in the league as they have not won a game since their 3-1 win over Swansea City.
In the last eight league games played, the Portuguese tactician has seen United settle for a draw on six occasions.
This included a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Chelsea and the victory over Swansea City.
Tottenham made it to the Europa League following their exit from the Champions League as they finished third in their group following their victory over CSKA Moscow.
Mauricio Pochettino has also seen his side settle for draws in the recent past, which was overcome by two wins in last three fixtures.
A victory for the visitors at Old Trafford will be a massive boost in their bid to chase for a place in the top four.
They have managed nine goals in last three games and will be looking to extend that record when they face United on Sunday.
