EPL: Ighalo stars in Man U win over Chelsea

Odion Ighalo

On-loan Manchester United signing, Odion Jude Ighalo, was a late substitute as the former Premier League champions defeated their eternal rivals, Chelsea, in a Premier League tie at the Stamford Bridge on Monday.
The former Nigerian international came on in 88th minute after Anthony Martial and Harry Maguire goals had separated both teams.
Moment after he was introduced into the game Ighalo came close to opening his goal account at Manchester United, but was denied by Chelsea goalkeeper Willy Caballero.
Ighalo only trained with his new teammates for the first time on Sunday and did not travel to the club’s winter break in Marbella as a precaution following his move from China.
The 30-year-old completed his dream move to Old Trafford on transfer deadline day.
Ighalo became the first Nigerian to play for Manchester United following his debut against Chelsea.
The ex-international made his way back to the Premier League having joined the Red Devils from Shanghai Shenhua on a six-month deal.
The move came to reality owing to Marcus Rashford’s back injury, which will rule him out for three months.
