Former Super Eagles winger Finidi George has been appointed new coach of Nigeria Professional Football League club, Enyimba FC.
George, who had served in the country’s national teams, will replace Fatai Osho, whose contract was not renewed.
The immediate task for the former international is to guide Enyimba to reach the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup after they placed third on the NPFL table last season.
Finidi, 50, has previously been linked with handling one the country’s age-grade teams.
He holds a UEFA B coaching license.
In his playing days, he featured for several top clubs like Ajax Amsterdam, Real Betis, Real Mallorca and Ipswich Town.
He played at the 1994 and 1998 World Cups.
