England have arrived in Russia ahead of their World Cup campaign.
The Three Lions flew from Birmingham and arrived near Repino on Tuesday evening after a small practice game at St George’s Park in the same morning.
Gareth Southgate’s men will begin their campaign against Tunisia on June 18 in Volgograd, and the players arrived looking reasonably comfortable.
After travelling from Birmingham, the players would have made the short drive from the airport to their base camp.
The players will be staying at the ForRestMix Club Sport&Relax hotel – just 45 minutes away from the stadium in Volgograd.
Fans will hoping captain Harry Kane will get his hands on the World Cup on July 15.
Surrounded by tranquil forests and scenic views, the hotel is a perfect example of the relaxing vibes Southgate wants to have around the camp.
England will have one of the youngest squads at the tournament in Russia, and former boss Sam Allardyce exclusively told talkSPORT he is impressed with how his successor has introduced the younger members into the squad.
Speaking on Tuesday’s Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, Allardyce said: “Gareth made some brave decisions and I’m really pleased they’ve brought young players into the team.
“They’ve put them in when they’ve needed to and the players have stood up and been counted.
“I think, across the board, it’s given England a lot of good options.
“When I saw the ten changes for the second warm-up game against Costa Rica, I think it stands them in good stead that all the players have gone on the pitch and performed.
“At some stage in the three group games he’ll need to change the team and tactically that will be a very big decision.
“He’ll get criticised if he doesn’t change it and he’ll be criticised if he does and they don’t get the right result.
“But I think Gareth has got a lot of options to change the side around in Russia.”
After Tunisia, England will face Panama on June 24, before a massive test against Group G favourites Belgium.
