Emergency FEC meeting cancelled

The emergency Federal Executive Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday (tomorrow) at the Presidential Villa has been cancelled.
The announcement of the cancellation of the meeting, scheduled for 2:30pm, was contained in a memo to the members of the FEC by the Secretary to the Federal Government, Chief Anyim Pius Anyim.
No reason was given for the postponement.
But the suspicion is that the cancellation of the meeting was a mark of respect for those involved in Saturday’s helicopter crash in Bayelsa State.

Those who died in the crash were the Kaduna State Governor, Patrick Yakowa; a former National Security Adviser, General Owoye Azazi; the aides of Yakowa and Azazi; and the naval pilots in charge of the chopper
