Super Eagles’ most potent striker, Emmanuel Emenike, has again fired the Walya of Antelopes of Ethiopia a warning ahead of the November 16 World Cup qualifying play off in Calabar, Cross River State with a goal in Fenerbahce’s 3-2 win over Bursaspor in the Turkish Super Lig tie.
Emenike puts the Yellow Submarines ahead with seven minutes to go while his teammate, Egemen Korkmaz’s 90th-minute strike rendered Pablo Batalla’s goal in stoppage-time little more than a consolation.
Fenerbahce now maintain its four-point lead at the top of the Super Lig.
Earlier in the game, Ferhat Kiraz fired the home side into a 20th-minute lead but substitute Pierre Webo grabbed a 63rd minute equaliser just seconds after coming on.
Emenike made the headlines following his brace in Super Eagles away win over their World Cup qualifying opponents, Ethiopia, in Addis Ababa.
