An old staff member of Twitter, Alex Cohen said the new owner, Elon Musk has recalled him and some of his colleagues.
It was learnt that Musk has been finding it difficult to navigate his way through the business.
Part of his new measures is to recall staff laid off when he took over.
Cohen said he was part of the staff affected by this incident but was called back by his former boss to head a team of badge access (the blue check mark/ tick)
According to him Elon tried to shut off all access to the badge and accidentally locked himself out.
He said: “I was laid off from twitter this afternoon. I was in charge of managing badge access to twitter offices
Elon just called me and asked if I could come back and help the regain access to HQ as they shut off all badges and accidentally locked themselves out “
Twitter is not the only tech company in this season to make a lay off.
The E-commerce giant, Amazon has also hinted that it will lay off 10,000 staff as well.
