The Ekiti State Football Association will elect new leaders to administer the body in her new dispensation.
The State Football Association reached this resolution at its congress held in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State on Tuesday.
According a communique made available, the Congress approved May 27, 2023 as the date for its 2023 Elective Congress.
They also approved the composition of the Electoral and Appeals Committees.
Femi Familusi was appointed as Chairman of the Electoral Committee.
Other members of the committee are Lekan Daramola, Vice Chairman; M. Orolu, member; Elder Remilekun Solola, member; Ayodeji Okunuga, member; and Pelumi Abiara, Secretary.
Members of the Appeals Committee are Steve Alabi, High Chief Olufemi Durojaiye, Hon. Jumoke Olaniyan; and Olawunmi Alabede as Secretary.
The Congress of Ekiti State FA also approved the lifting of the suspension of some of its members that was hitherto imposed on them.
However, they unanimously expelled Lanre Victor Ajayi from the Ekiti State Football with immediate effect over persistent acts capable of bringing the game to disrepute.
The Football Association appreciated the Ekiti State Government led by Governor Biodun Oyebanji for the contributions to football and the advocated more concerted efforts, particularly policy formation and finance, towards the development of football and sports in general in the state.
The Ekiti FA also saluted the President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau, and his Board on the strides they have made towards making Nigeria football more viable in the country in the face of so many challenges.
