The campaign organisation of Ayo Fayose, the Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate in Ekiti State, the Ayo Fayose Campaign Organisation, has described as suspicious, allegations by the All Progressives Congress that the PDP and the Independent National Electoral Commission plan to rig the June 21 governorship election.
AFCO said in a statement issued by its Director General, Chief Dipo Anisulowo, that it was the tradition of the APC to accuse others of what they are planning to perpetrate.
While calling Ekiti State people, especially supporters of the PDP, to be vigilant before and during the election, AFCO said: “It is obvious that Governor Kayode Fayemi and his APC are planning to manipulate the election.
“Ekiti people are against them, and if they are still thinking of wining the election, it means that they are relying on nothing other than manipulation, but their plan will fail.
“As at today, the APC people are the ones going about, buying voters cards from people. They are the ones recruiting fake observers.
“Therefore, if there is any plan to rig the election, such plan must be from the APC, because as it is in Ekiti, PDP is set to regain what was taking from it through judicial manipulation.”
