As the 2013 Ramadan comes to an end, the Federal Government has declared August 8 and 9 public holidays to mark Eid-el-Fitri celebration.
The Minister of Interior, Mr. Abba Moro, said in a statement issued on Monday on behalf of the Federal Government.
The statement, signed by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mrs. Fatima Bamidele, urged Muslim faithful to use the spiritual benefits of Ramadan to contribute to the development of the nation.
Wishing all Nigerians a rewarding and peaceful celebration, Mr. Moro also enjoined them to exploit the spiritual benefits of love, joy and peace in their day-to-day activities.
He also, urged Nigerians to use the opportunity of the holidays to reflect on the imperative of peace in nation building.
