Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State on Wednesday approved the payment of June salary to all workers of the state.
This was contained in a statement signed by the state Commissioner for Information, Malam Muhammad Garba and made available to newsmen in Kano in Wednesday.
The statement quoted the commissioner as saying that the early payment of the salaries is to enable civil servants and their families fully enjoy the festivities of the Eid-el-Fitr.
He also enjoined all banks to ensure that workers access their salaries with ease.
It added that the gesture was also in line with the governor’s pledge to improve the welfare of workers in the state.
He then urged the workers to reciprocate the good gesture by being more dedicated and hardworking in the discharge of their duties for the overall development of the state.
It said: “The governor also wishes all workers delightful celebrations.”
