The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has sealed properties belonging to a former Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha.
The action was carried out on Tuesday night.
Among the properties of the Senator seized were Rochas Foundation College; East High Academy; Reach FM, Owerri; a shopping mall; and Royal Palm Beach Hotel.
There are said to be several petitions against Okorocha by the State Government and some prominent individuals in the state.
According to information available to The Eagle Online, Okorocha was accused of having converted several Imo State Government land and properties to personal use with official backing when he was in power.
Some of the structures built on government land said to have been forcefully acquired by Okorocha are said to be owned by his wife, daughters and sons-in-law.
A source told The Eagle Online that prominent among the parcels of land acquired by Okorocha were the ones meant for the expansion of the Government House and State Secretariat.
