The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has released the Ekiti State Commissioner for Finance, Toyin Ojo, and the State’s Accountant General, Yemisi Owolabi.
Both officials were arrested on September 28, 2017.
The commission said it arrested the officials for failing to honor its invitation.
Ojo and Owolabi were said to have been invited to give account of how the state utilized the bail out funds released to it.
The Special Adviser on New Media and Public Communications to Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State, Lere Olayinka, confirmed the release of the officials.
