Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission have raided a premises in Bayelsa State where Robert Azibaola, a cousin of former President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, is developing some structures and using for storage of equipment.
The site is located in Otakeme, Bayelsa State.
A statement by Azibaola’s company, KAKATAR, said the operatives arrived at about 3pm and damaged some containers, machines and buildings during the search.
The statement, signed by Austin Ekeinde, said: “At about 1500 hours today, 13th April 2017, EFCC operatives invaded KAKATAR premises in Otakeme in Bayelsa State and vandalise containers, equipment and machines and damaged our buildings in the process.
“KAKATAR premises in Otakeme houses our construction equipment, machines and residential buildings and it is not for the storage of cash or any other material.”
