The Chairman of Edo Football Association, Frank Ilaboya, has described as shocking, the death of the Media Officer of Bendel Insurance FC, Edoseghe Eguakun.
Ilaboya told the News Agency of Nigeria on Saturday in Lagos that the camp of Bendel Insurance FC had been thrown into mourning by the death.
NAN reports that Eguakun died on Friday from an undisclosed ailment.
He said: “Eguakun’s death is a rude shock to us because we knew him to be hale and hearty.
“He was seen to be healthy before the day he passed on. His last assignment was at Ibadan in the game against Shooting Stars.
“He was a gentleman who knew his job well.
“The football family will miss him for his commitment and dedication to Bendel Insurance and sports at large.”
