The Federal Government has released a list of 11 major initiatives Nigerians can benefit from to cushion the effects of the economic hardship in the country.
Director General of the National Orientation Agency, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, made this known in a statement on Thursday.
In the statement signed by the NOA’s Deputy Director of Press, Paul Odenyi, the DG said the initiatives were Federal Government’s measures to cushion the effect of the economic downturn.
The statement said this forms part of a series of bold and transformative initiatives of plans to address Nigeria’s current economic challenges.
With a focus on sustainable development and immediate relief, these programmes, the government said, are designed to empower citizens, particularly the youth, who make up 76 per cent of the country’s population.
Onilu said: “As the government continues to implement these critical policies, it’s essential for Nigerians to be informed and ready to take full advantage of the opportunities available.”
