Nigel Folorunso, the Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance in Oyo State, has called for the transformation of Nigeria into a secured and prosperous country.
Folorunso made the call in his Easter message which was made available to newsmen in Ibadan on Wednesday.
According to him, Nigerian leaders should strive to build a virile nation as well as evolve policies that would fast track developmental projects and enhance economic growth.
He also called on government to act fast on the various challenges confronting the country such as terrorism, banditry and kidnapping among others.
He said: “Extrajudicial killings are rampant and government needs to tackle the menace to make Nigerians safe.
“Nigeria needs transformation into a safe and secure nation of prosperity led by innovative and altruistic leaders ready to go the whole hog to propel her as an industrial and democratic giant of Africa.”
He admonished government not to listen to the advice of the IMF on petrol subsidy removal but be focused more on the welfare of the citizens.
The APGA chairman also called on the Federal Government to set machinery in motion to restructure the country.
He further implored all Christians to use the Easter period to reflect on their lives and emulate Jesus Christ.
