Golden Eaglets impressive striker, Isaac Success, has been ruled out of the match against Iraq due to a hamstring he coped with during the Sweden match, The Eagle Online can authoritatively confirm.
The Chief Coach of the team, Manu Garba, said that the gangling striker has not recovered fully to participate in the decisive last match of Group F against Iraq in the ongoing FIFA U-17 World Cup and won’t risk him in the match since he has capable replacement for him.
Garba said: “Isaac Success is completely out of tomorrow’s (Friday’s) match.
“He won’t play the game as a result of hamstring injury he had during the second group match against Sweden on Tuesday.”
The attack is built around him and he was the highest goal scorer in the African Championship and a very dependable striker for the team.
Garba added: “This is a player that can keep any defence busy.
“We are going to miss him greatly.
“But we will always find a stand in for his position.
“The boy that replaced Isaac Success against Sweden got the third goal for the team to level up.
“Of course, we have someone that can stand in for him.”
