The Nigeria Basketball Federation has declared vacant the post of the coach of the men basketball team, the D’Tigers.
The NBBF board made the pronouncement after due consultation with the technical committee.
It urged interested applicants to submit their letters and curriculum vitae at the NBBF secretariat.
The President of the Nigerian Basketball Federation, Tijjani Umar, assured Nigerians that the selection would be based on merit as the team hopes to make a return to the Olympics in Rio 2016 by coming tops at the 2015 Afrobasket in Tunisia, having made their debut at the Olympics in London 2012 via the Olympic Qualifying event
in Venezuela.
Veteran Coach, Ayo Bakare, who last held the post, led the Nigerian team to the 2012 Summer Olympics.
