Inter Milan attacking midfielder, Joel Obi, who is gradually recovering from injuries, has disclosed that it is only Inter that can make public the extent of his recovery from injury that stopped him from playing for the Super Eagles in the last Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.
Obi was also ignored by Super Eagles’ Chief Coach, Stephen Keshi, for the loaded June programme and the FIFA Confederation Cup as a result of injury and his fitness level but the player could stage a sensational return to the Nigerian team if he starts playing for his Italian Serie A team.
The player however happily disclosed that he is slowly recuperating from the injury that has deprived him of first team appearance for his club and country.
“I have not started playing with the team (Inter Milan) but I am picking up gradually”, he said.
When asked when he would return to the pitch to start playing for his club and country, he simply replied: “The problem is that I can’t even say anything now because my club doesn’t want me to say anything about my situation in the media for now, They don’t want anything to distract my rate of recovery so I am sorry but I will talk to you about this when the time is right.”
He however, asked Nigerians to continue to pray for him top bounce back to reckoning.
