Barcelona have confirmed winger Ousmane Dembele has suffered a hamstring injury.
The Frenchman came off the bench in the club’s disappointing 2-1 defeat to Cadiz in LaLiga on Sunday but underwent tests after the match.
The club confirmed Dembele will not be available for their final Champions League group stage match against Juventus.
The Catalan giants have already secured their place in the knockout stages after five wins from five and would have to lose by a margin of four goals or more to not finish top of Group G.
However, domestically manager Ronald Koeman seems to be struggling to make the team tick as they sit seventh in the table, 12 points behind leaders Atletico Madrid.
Dembele’s contribution between the two competitions has been vast, as he boasts three goals and two assists in Europe from four matches.
Meanwhile, he has managed just one goal in his first eight league matches of the season.
Koeman believes that the attitude of his players was to blame for the Cadiz defeat and the Dutchman was left astounded at the manner in which Negredo’s goal was conceded.
As reported by Marca, Koeman said: “The defeat is difficult to explain.
“We’ve come here after some good games, but the first half wasn’t good. We were better in the second half, but the way in which we lost was incredible.
“We lost due to an unexpected mistake that you cannot make. It came from not being focused. The attitude wasn’t good tonight, and not just from the defenders.
“It’s very hard to explain some of the goals that we’ve conceded. I think it might be because of a lack of concentration. We lack aggression without the ball. That might be why we concede. It’s not easy to explain that second goal.”
