Nigeria’s Flying Eagles, who finished third at the 2013 African Youth Championship in Algeria, are due in Abuja at about 2pm on Tuesday.
The country’s U20 team departed Algeria for Cairo, Egypt on Monday afternoon and slept over in the Egyptian capital city before heading out to Nigeria on Tuesday morning.
The team will be decamped on arrival in Abuja, officials disclosed.
Tunisia-based defender, Aigbe Oliha, returned to his club, Esperance de Zarzis, from Oran also on Monday.
However, Denmark-based winger, Edafe Egbedi, will depart Nigeria on Thursday for his European base.
Egbedi is nursing a thigh injury he picked up at the AYC in Algeria, but he is expected to return to full action in the next two weeks.
The Flying Eagles have qualified for the 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup in Turkey from June 21.
They are drawn in Group B alongside Portugal, Cuba and Korea Republic.
They are expected to soon regroup in time for a training camp, which will involve participation at the Toulon Football Tournament at the end of May.
Coach John Obuh has tabled his proposal for the build-up to the World Cup to the Nigeria Football Federation.
