Kola Ologbodiyan, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President of the Senate, Senator David Mark, has said his boss did not make a car gift donation to music icon, Tuface Idibia, and his wife, Annie Macaulay.
Ologbodiyan said Mark was not at the venue of the wedding in Dubai, United Arab Emirate, and did not delegate anyone to make such a donation on his behalf.
Rather, Ologodiyan said Mark was in Quito, Ecuador for the 128th Inter Parliamentary Union conference while the wedding was on.
A Ferrari car, with a note stuck on it that it was from Mark to Tuface was seen at the venue of the wedding.
But Ologbodiyan said this is far from the truth.
His statement reads: “The President of the Senate, Senator David Mark, did not give a N47m Ferrari car to Tuface Idibia contrary to wild stories being circulated on social sites.
“Senator Mark did not visit Dubai for Tuface’s wedding rather he attended the 128th Inter parliamentary Union conference currently holding in Quito, Ecuador.
“He was also not represented at Mr. Idibia’s wedding. It is also instructive to state that the President of the Senate, Senator Mark, did not make a car donation of any kind to Tuface before departing Nigeria for Ecuador neither did he purchase nor send any car to Dubai as a wedding gift for the musician or his wife.
“Who made the donation on behalf of the President of the Senate?
“It is therefore a puerile lie for anybody to state that Senator Mark bought a Ferrari car worth N47m for Tuface. The allegation is wicked, ridiculous and irresponsible.”
