A driver, Afeez Abiodun, is to spend his New Year and the next one year in prison for dangerous driving.
Abiodun, who drove a Nissan bus with registration no XB 402 KSH, was sentenced to one year imprisonment for various traffic infractions, including dangerous driving and overloading by a Mobile Court in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
The mobile court was presided over by Senior Magistrate Risikat Ebelokun-Mustapha.
Abiodun was, however, given an option of one month in prison and a fine of N65,000.
According to a statement by the Federal Road Safety Commission, 32 others were convicted by Senior Magistrate Ebelokun-Mustapha.
They, however, all had options of fines.
Three other persons were discharged and acquitted by the mobile court.
