The Management Board of Daily Independent has concluded plans to effect changes in the hierarchy of the Editorial Department of the newspaper.
Sources close to the management of the newspaper told The Eagle Online that all the three title editors are to be dropped.
The affected editors are Ikechukwu Amaechi (Daily), Olumide Iyanda (Saturday) and O. Ogbuike (Sunday).
They are to be replaced by Rotimi Durojaiye (Daily), Charles Okogene (Saturday) and Habib Haruna (Sunday).
Amaechi and Ogbuike are to become General Editors.
It was learnt that the Board mandated the Managing Editor, James Akpandem, to reconcile with other managers because majority of them are against his leadership.
The members of the Board are to meet with the staff soon.
