The Coalition of Support Group for Senator Ben Ayade has condemned the fraudulent court case instituted against the Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate in Cross River State by Joe Agi, one of the party’s governorship aspirants.
CSG said the suit against Ayade was in bad faith and targeted by undemocratic elements to undermine democracy and good governance in the state.
According to CSG’s spokesperson, Emmanuel Unimke Ulayi, the case is baseless, mischievous and full of contradictions to rubbish Ayade.
Ulayi, however, stated that the good people of Cross River State will prevail over this mischief.
He said: “Ayade represents great things for the good people of Cross River State and several undemocratic elements are unsatisfied with his drive and commitment to transform Cross River State.
“This attempt to tarnish the image of this distinguished Cross Riverian who had represented our people very well in the hallowed Red Chamber of the Senate will not succeed.
“This man has impacted the lives of several Cross Riverians and now he will have a larger platform to take our state to the next level of good governance and transformation.”
Ulayi called on all well-meaning Cross Riverians to rally around the PDP candidate to transform the state.
It would be recalled that Agi had instituted a case against Ayade over discrepancies in age and date of birth.
