The National Convention of the Congress for Progressive Change for the ratification of the proposed merger with other parties to form the All Progressives Congress will hold on May 11.
The National Publicity Secretary of the CPC, Engineer Rotimi Fashakin, announced this on Monday in Abuja.
The convention will take place at the Old Parade Ground, Abuja.
“Merging with another political party is a very major decision and the nation’s law has made it imperative that a political party must go to the convention to ratify it,” Fashakin said.
He said one of the parties to the merger, the Action Congress of Nigeria, has fulfilled its own part of the bargain by holding a convention that ratified the merger.
