The Congress for Progressive Change has fixed May 11, 2013 for its mid-term convention, preparatory to the merger to form the All Progressives Congress.
The National Publicity Secretary of the CPC, Engineer Rotimi Fashakin, said the decision was taken at an expanded meeting of the party.
Fashakin said: “At an expanded National Executive Committee meeting on Tuesday, 16th April, 2013, an approval was given to the proposal to have the mid-term convention of the party on May 11, 2013.
“Already, the Independent National Electoral Commission had been informed about this date and an acknowledgement received.”
Fashakin said the meeting further approved the presentation of the constitution and manifesto of APC.
