A High Court of Lagos State on Monday granted an injunction restraining Daar Communications Limited, owners of African Independent Television, from broadcasting, transmitting or airing how-so-ever a documentary allegedly disparaging a national leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The documentary is reportedly titled: “The Lion of Bourdillon.”
The injunction was granted pending the the determination of the Motion on Notice.
Justice I.O. Akinkugbe granted the injunction.
The application was moved by Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN), the lead counsel to Tinubu, who is the plaintiff in the case of defamation against Daar Communications Limited.
The court also adjourned the motion for interlocutory injunction on the application of the defendant/respondent counsel to March 20, 2015 at 1pm.
The defendant/respondent, Daar Communications Limited, was represented by Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN).
