The Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire this evening defeated a hard fighting Mali side in the African Cup of Nations sei-final match to move into the final where they will play Zambia.
The elephants defeated the Malians by a lone goal.
The goal was scored late inside the first half.
Captain of the Elephants, Didier Drogba, motivated his team throughout the encounter.
The elephants will now meet the Chipolopolo of Zambia who surprisingly edged out the Black Stars of Ghana by a lone goal earlier in the day.
The match is to be played on Sunday.
For the third place, Ghana and Mali will slug it out.
