One of the world’s largest resort, Universal Orlando Resort, located in Orlando, Florida, United States of America, has shut down.
The resort announced its decision to shut down in an email it sent to its customers.
It said this was a precaution to safeguard its community against the ravaging Coronavirus.
The resort will be closed from Monday (today).
The email said: “Out of an abundance of caution and to assist with our nation’s preventive efforts, Universal Orlando Resort will temporarily close its theme parks and Blue Man Group shows beginning Monday, March 16. We anticipate remaining closed through the end of March – but will continue to evaluate the situation.
“Universal Orlando’s hotels and Universal CityWalk will remain open.
“We have created flexible programs for those guests who have booked travel packages or tickets with us. Guests can call this number for more information: 877-801-9720.
“Thank you in advance for your patience, as we are experiencing high call volumes at this time. We are working hard to provide a higher level of service and update our website to help serve all of our guests.”
