The Coordinator of the Kwara State Chapter of the Buhari Support Group, Hon. Mashood Bakare, has resigned his appointment.
The coordinator, a member of the Kwara State House of Assembly, announced his resignation during plenary on the floor of the House.
Bakare said his decision was based on personal reason, pointing out that he had already tendered his resignation letter to the group.
He disclosed that he assumed the position in 2014, stressing that he was no longer willing to be part of the organisation.
Bakare said communal interest supersedes any parochial consideration, assuring that he would continue to be sensitive to the yearnings and aspirations of his people.
The Speaker of the House, Dr. Ali Ahmad, asked Bakare if his decision was willingly taken or forced on him, to which he replied that it was willing.
