Nigeria’s football crisis took a new turn on Wednesday as the Appeal Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation failed to reach a compromise on the committee’s findings on the September 30 Elective Congress held in Warri, Delta State.
The Chairman of the committee, Barrister Okey Ajunwa, distanced himself from the decisions of the committee, as he refused to append his signature on their findings.
Other members, however, sanctioned the report and it was onwardly submitted to the NFF Secretariat.
The committee unanimously threw Muazu Suleyman, Sani Fema and Leonard Igbokwe’s appeals into the trash can, citing that various FIFA directives and congregational decisions had taken care of their allegations.
All the members, except the Ajunwa, upheld the elections of Anyansi Agwu and Sherif Rabiu Inuwa.
They maintained that the Appellant lacks the locu standi to challenge the entire election, having contested as a member.
The Appeals Committee, with the exception of their chairman, upheld in its entirety the NFF 2014 Elective Congress held in Warri on September 30, 2014.
