Confederation Cup: Underrate Eagles at your own peril – Onazi

SC Lazio of Italy midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi, has warned Super Eagles’ opponents to be weary of the African Champions when the Confederation Cup kicks off in Brazil.
In a chat with The Eagle Online, the enterprising midfield marshal believes the Super Eagles has grown in confidence and are prepared to tackle any opposition in the world. His words: “I’m sure nobody will dare write us off just like they did while we were seeking for the Africa Cup of Nations glory in South
Africa. This time, the entire country will be behind us because we achieved the unexpected at the AFCON.
“Now that we have achieved such a great feat, I think it will be suicidal for any top football nation in the world to underrate us in Brazil. I believe we have all the arsenal to shock the world when
hostilities begin in the South American country in June.
“For me, I can’t wait to be part of the fiesta because it is every player’s dream to play at that level of the game and I want to make good use of the opportunity.”
Speaking further, the erstwhile My People Academy of Lagos player, hoped the Spartak Moscow of Russia goal poacher, Emmanuel Emenike, returns to full fitness before the competition kicks off.
He pointed out that the services of the attacker would be required as the Super Eagles battle on other top countries for the global title.
“Emmanuel is a great player and he is an asset to the country and his club. It will be a plus to have him in the Eagles at the Confederation Cup. Above all, I sincerely believe he needs some help to get back to
top shape,” he opined.
