Salisu Yusuf, Technical Adviser, Rangers International Football Club of Enugu says the team will record a win over visiting Nouadhibou Football Club of Mauritania on Sunday.
According to Yusuf, the club must get it right against Nouadhibou Football of Mauritania on Sunday.
News Agency of Nigeria reports that Rangers will on Sunday play host to visiting Nouadhibou FC of Mauritania in the Confederation cup group A match day Four in Enugu.
Speaking to newsmen in Enugu on Friday, Yusuf said that the players confidence was back and at such they were poised to defeat their visitor from Mauritania.
“Since my coming into Rangers, we are gradually and steadily getting to play some good football but have been very unlucky in front of goals.
“Though, we held the visitors to a goalless draw in Mauritania but that does not mean it is over.
“Nonetheless, we are working on converting our chances and I believe that we shall get it right on Sunday, as we have started getting our confidence back with the win in the NPFL on Wednesday, ” Yusuf said.
Rangers Captain, Temitope Olusesi, said that the match against the club from Mauritania would be tough but assured that the visitors would have nothing to smile home with.
“Our continental match will be tough but we shall come out with the needed victory to put us back on track for a quarter final.
“No doubt, we have not started the group stage as we wished but we have come through the bad patch and now focused for better things to come both in the domestic league and continental stage, ” he said.
