African Champions, Super Eagles, have finally landed in Belo Horizonte, venue of their first group game against Oceanian Champions, Tahiti, on Monday at the Confederation Cup.
The Super Eagles’ players and officials, The Eagle Online gathered, were exhausted after several hours of travelling across the Atlantic to the South American nation, Brazil.
Sporting Braga of Portugal left wing back, Elderson Echiejile, was quick to express his tiredness through his twitter handle, @EldersonEch, when the team touch down in Belo Horizone at 3am (8am Nigerian) on Sunday.
“Finally booked into our hotel in Belo Horizonte and one thing on my mind is to just hit my bed…I’m tired!,” he tweeted.
The team will observe its first training on Sunday evening ahead of Monday’s clash against Tahiti.
